I liked it quite a bit

It's got a good story, even if short and peculiar, but there's nothing wrong with peculiar. I found it pretty sad though, in an emotional sense, not in a "Man, that's just sad" kind of sense. I was a bit confused about why she set the squirrel on fire until I read your description, then it made quite a bit more sense, but I'm not entirely clear on whether she intended to set the tree on fire too. I expected the food she gave the tree to just fall down it, but the way you worked it was equally good.

Overall a very good film, and like others have said, you're an excellent artist. I don't think your talents are really being wasted at all, assuming that this is the style/kind of thing you enjoy doing.

Good luck in the future and may the front page be with you.

thank you!! it's always nice to hear complements of that sort :) especially after this week of hell I've had at my job... made my day reading your comment, thank you so much!

Poor poor microphone.

I feel very bad for your microphone. There's a thing we call "Not putting it in your mouth" that happens to work very well for recording audio. You're letting the microphone have too much vibration and it's causing a clash between the last sound wave and the current sound wave and making that horrible grating noise. Keep the mic farther away, or get a better mic, and redo the audio. If you did that, it might be intelligible and maybe then it could be determined whether the dialogue is actually funny or not.

Cheese101 responds:

i did not ptu the microphone in my mouth i just yelled into it really, really loud, i think it also not understandable because most of the time i did not say real words

Naked mole rats are more interesting.

You need:
1. Higher quality images.
2. A better idea to act out.
3. Better flash skills.

ATOMICCLOUD responds:

staring at a peble is more interesting than reading your reviews.>:(

Smooth

Some 1 in 20 flash animations are good as far as I've seen. Good job, I liked it enough and I must say, you had some VERY smooth animation. Pleasure for my eyes to see a frame rate that high. The voice for the blue/purple (colorblindish) guy could use a better mic or better encoding though. Other than that, good job.

Greyfox999 responds:

Yeah, i suppose i should probably get an actual soundcard and proper microphone at some point.

Thansk for the review :)

There are very few flash animations...

That I truly wish I'd not taken the time to watch. It was bad enough that it's even worth my while to comment on how bad it was. If this is your first attempt, then you completely lack creativity. If this is your later attempt, not only are you absolutely noxious in taste but also have no capacity for art. Nice puddlemunch.

Seems a bit redundant.

First, everyone does sprites, and second, everyone does 'the flip' where the character who seems like they should win has their power suddenly and inexplicably bolstered. Pretty lame. The music was annoying.

Second, this seems around 65% ripped off from the Naruto episode where Lee and Gaara I think were fighting.

kliker responds:

I'm don't watching Naruto and I don't even know about it.

this was amazing

I love robots first of all, and I love this flash involving one particularly. At first I got the impression he had an imagination, why else would he need to read a book? So then he starts walking towards utopia, and nature holds him back. He refuses to fight, a pacifist, another sign of sentience rather than robotic programming. Eventually he has to resort to it for self preservation, part of the nature of all living things (except lemmings). Then he sees his utopia and is almost there, but... it was not to be. Robots are alive.

Vuny responds:

You got it on the dot, point blank at that. lol Thank you.

That is a great concept.

...but I hope the intent of the video was to waste time, that just makes it funnier. But yeah, I can see how it may have taken a long time. Something that I noticed that would make it completely hilarious for me would be if you made the clock in it actually display the time, so as you sit staring, you see how much time you spend watching it.

SwitchBladeClock responds:

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

Spellcheck.

It is spelled minutes, not minuites or whatever terrible spelling you managed to contrive. If you take the time to make a flash, take the time to make sure you spell correctly.

tooters responds:

you gave me a 1 because i over looked a spelling error?

Beautiful... brought tears to my eyes...

Actually it didn't. I never laugh when reading something funny or watching, but this is one of the few things that made me come close, I *listened* to the whole later part with a grin on my face. (The watching became monotonus after a while.) But overall, it was completely worth my time. Reminds me a bit of monty python or especially firesign theatre, both of which I like. Anyway, this is good work. Any more forthcoming, I would be happy to view.

MaStAdJ responds:

lol...
well i was glad it was worth your time
